A little about me

 

Ms. Laura Seale holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Baylor University with an emphasis on clarinet studies. During her time at Baylor she studied clarinet with Dr. Richard Shanley and Dr. Jun Qian. Ms. Seale was a member of the Baylor Campus Orchestra, Baylor University Marching Band where she marched Clarinet and Saxophone, and a member of the Baylor University Symphonic Band. 

 

Laura is passionate about middle school band and is in her 7th year as a music educator. She began her career in Crosby ISD as the assistant band director at Crosby Middle School. After leaving CISD, Ms. Seale continued teaching band in Waxahachie ISD at Finley Junior High, first as the assistant band director and then as the Head Band Director for 4 years. Through her time in WISD, she received 4 Sweepstakes at UIL Concert & Sight-Reading contests and was Elective Teacher of the Year in 2021. 

 

In her free time, Laura loves practicing yoga, exploring new restaurants, playing tennis and hanging out with her dog Kirby. Ms. Seale is thrilled to be a part of the KISD band staff and is counting down the days to meet the wonderful students at Keller Middle School & Bear Creek Intermediate!
